Users with ACL inefficiency have anterolateral instability, which results in knee flexion. Countering this rotation and directly controlling the instability of an ACL-inefficient knee using an orthosis is extremely difficult. This is why DJO ligament orthoses prefer to indirectly stabilize the knee, thanks to the Biomechanical 4-Point Support System. The 4-Point Support System is clinically proven to be the most effective system for preventing anterior tibial translation. By effectively reducing and preventing anterior translation, a 4-point orthosis can indirectly prevent or reduce anterolateral instability (endorotation) of a knee with an inefficient ACL. Indications:
- ACL - Anterior cruciate ligament.
- Moderate and severe instabilities of ACL, PCL, ACL/PCL.
- ACL/PCL reconstructions.
- Collateral ligament deficiencies with PCL involvement.
- LCL and/or MCL dislocation.
- Prophylactic/bilateral use.
