MOBIDERM Multi Layers - Lymphedema Treatment

Mobiderm - multi-layer banding system for the treatment of lymphedema.

Indications:

• Moderate to severe lymphedema.
• Regular shape of the limb.
• Stable lymphedema volume.

Lymphedema treatment involves two phases:

• Reduction – intensive decongestion treatment where attempts are made to drain and reduce edema through bandages and are accompanied by manual or mechanical lymphatic drainage. The advantage of bandages is that they adapt to the volume of the limb and can be repositioned several times.

The treatment offered by THUASNE involves multi-layer bandaging that effectively reduces edema. The use of the Mobiderm bandage, a patented anti-edema compression device, increases effectiveness (accelerates the reduction in edema volume), is very practical and comfortable.

• Maintenance – after reducing the volume of edema, the maintenance phase begins with compression clothing that guarantees effective compression, retention and comfort to allow self-sufficiency and well-being – see MOBIDERM AUTOFIT

Reduction Phase:
Protection/ Drainage/ Retention/ Compression
3 short stretch bandages:
1st – Wrapping with a cotton bandage, COTTON, in contact with the skin for protection, which provides slight containment
2nd – Wrapping with the MOBIDERM bandage, a device that creates different pressure zones between the foam cubes and the surrounding area, mobilizing the subcutaneous tissues. Drainage device that reduces edema in terms of volume.
3rd – Wrapping with BIFLEXIDEAL, which guarantees the retention of edema, as well as effective drainage in the presence of moderate physical activity
If there is low physical activity, a 4th ligature, BIFLEX, must be used, which increases compression and consequently activates reduction. It can only be used during the day.
