Arm immobilizer with 15º abduction - medi SAS® 15

Characteristics:

• The medi SAS 15 is an orthosis for immobilization and relief of the shoulder joint.
• With the support of the hand in the form of a sponge ball, the forearm muscles can be retrained early. The tight elastic knit fabric, tolerated by the skin, as well as the low weight of the splint make it pleasant to use.
• 15° abduction position to avoid adhesions to the auxiliary recess (frozen shoulder).
• Lateral positioning in 15° abduction to relieve the ventral limbus and capsule.
• To prevent shoulder stiffness.

Indications: All indications in which immobilization and relief of the abducted shoulder joint are necessary, such as:

• After reconstruction of the rotator cuff
• Humeral head fracture (non-operative, post-operative)
• After implantation of shoulder prostheses
• Postoperative period after stretching the acromioclavicular joint
• Biceps tenodosis
• Shoulder impingement syndrome (non-operative, post-operative)

Contraindications: All indications that expressly require external or internal rotation or abduction of more than 15°.
