Viscoelastic Foam Cushion – ViscoFlex ® +
The ViscoFlex® pillow is an anatomically shaped pillow, made from viscoelastic foam with a memory effect and an ergonomic insert that provides pressure reduction for users considered at high risk for developing pressure ulcers.
Viscoflex® was specifically designed to prevent pressure ulcers. High-density viscoelastic foam offers better resistance to deformation compared to industrial-type viscoelastic foams. The memory effect allows precise molding of the body, providing better pressure distribution and facilitating blood circulation.
Anatomical shape: Anatomical shape with raised side edges and a front-to-back slope, combined with the mechanical properties of memory foam, increases the contact surface, resulting in better positioning, stability and comfort as the contact surface is expanded .
Multi-support insert: Different support capacity on the front-back part of the insert, allows users to rebalance in a seated position to help reduce pressure on the user's sitting bone. High-support foam helps structure the cushion and acts as a skeleton to define weight-bearing capabilities. The insertion also allows controlled and stabilized immersion before reaching the bottom limit.
Indications:
- When pressure ulcers already exist (grade I to IV according to EPUAP).
- When there is a very high risk of developing pressure ulcers (according to the Braden, Norton, Waterlow tables,…).
