Foam and Viscoelastic Gel Cushion – Duoform®

Characteristics:

• Anatomical shape, increasing the contact surface with the support, reducing pressure and improving the user's positioning and stability.
• Combination of Gel and Foam.
• The addition of a high resilience foam base allows the pillow to better adapt to bone protuberances, providing a larger contact surface and, consequently, greater effective pressure distribution. It also improves user comfort and stability.
• As the two layers of material are molded together, they are completely connected, eliminating any risk of them separating during use.
• Bi-density Concept:
  • White area – viscoelastic gel with lower density to reduce pressure in areas at greatest risk.
  • Blue area – viscoelastic gel with greater density in regions with lower risk for better user stability.
• 100% waterproof: completely adapted for incontinent users.

Indications:

• When pressure ulcers already exist (grade I to II according to EPUAP). The patient is able to change position or the pressure points are relieved by professionals.
• When there is a medium to high risk of developing pressure ulcers (according to the Braden, Norton, Waterlow tables,…).
