Post amputation orthosis - Body Armor® Pro Term
Intermediate orthosis for conservative follow-up treatment after Chopart and Lisfranc amputations.
Load transmission to the proximal foot is guaranteed by the wedge-shaped outer and inner sole. The robust axis of the ankle stabilizes both the talocrural and talocalcaneal joints. The built-in adjustable air cushions allow this orthopedic device to adapt even better to the situation of the foot stump. The ventral support tongue provides compression over a wide area thanks to the variable closure system.
It can be used for approximately 10 weeks after an amputation.
The Body Armor® Pro Term Foot Stump Orthosis is designed without the forefoot region.
The blue insert with integrated pump compresses and maintains the shape of the stump, keeping the foot and leg angle less than 90°.
Indications:
- Diabetic foot syndrome
- PAD (peripheral arterial disease)
- Postoperative period after Chopart and Lisfranc amputations
