Characteristics:
- Ankle assist with stabilization strap system
- Individually adjustable and removable strap system with elastic and non-elastic sections → Additional fixation and stabilization, "protection" against twisting (supination)
- Massage effect by integrated silicone discs → Reduction of swelling (edema, bruising)
- Proprioceptive compression → Joint guidance and stabilization
Indications:
- Sprains with distension of the joint capsule
- Chronic ligamentous instabilities with recurrent supination trauma (sprains)
- In the second phase of treatment for external ligament ruptures
- Conventional treatment of syndesmosis ligament injuries, where surgery is not required
Contraindications:
- Skin diseases or injuries in the area of application, especially signs of inflammation (excessive heat, swelling or redness)
- Sensory and circulatory disorders of the legs and feet (e.g. as a result of diabetes)
- Lymphatic drainage problems as well as indistinct swelling of soft tissues outside the area of application
- Combination with other products, e.g. e.g., compression stockings, should be discussed in advance with the attending physician
