Wrist Joint Orthosis TP6101
Made of thermoplastic, composed of two parts (forearm and palm area of the hand) that are connected to each other by a joint in the wrist area, which allows the palm of the hand to be adjusted as well as the dorsal flexion of the orthosis, limiting some movements of the wrist joint or immobilizing in a defined position.
There is also the possibility of the orthosis being molded to the patient's size, this process requires the use of a heat gun.
Indications:
- All types of pre- and post-operative treatments that require functional support or immobilization of the wrist
- Carpal tunnel syndrome
- Chronic polyarthritis
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Situations of central or peripheral neurological damage (spasmodic and flaccid paralysis)
- Treatment for the prevention of rheumatoid deformities, as well as to relieve pain and also in anti-inflammatory treatment.
