Hip Stabilizing Orthosis with Abduction

Characteristics:

• Modular hip stabilizing orthosis that can be used either on the left or right side of the hip. Made from high-density polyethylene.
• Composed of a pelvic band and a thigh support (both shell-shaped), which are connected through a joint that in turn is adjustable in flexion-extension from 0° to 90° in 10° intervals, with abduction in positions of 0°, 15° and 30°.
• The foam lining on the inside and the velvet lining on the outside help to ensure that the plastic accessories of the orthosis do not come into direct contact with the patient.
• All orthosis fabrics are removable, allowing them to be washed, resulting in adequate orthosis hygiene.

• Post-operative stabilization after total hip replacement.
• Complications after hip arthroplasty or dislocation.
• Post reduction of dislocation or unstable prostheses.
• Post resection of the femoral head.
• Fractures.
• Osteoporosis (low bone quality).
