Socks for crural ulcers - mediven® ulcer kit

Silver is a classic in wound healing, as it acts lastingly, even in small concentrations, against a large number of bacteria.

Function:

What's special about Mediven Ulcer is the elemental silver incorporated into the mesh material. Prevents the formation of odors and eliminates the resistance of germs. In this way, mediven ulcer has a long-lasting antibacterial and antimycotic effect, also in the presence of antibiotic-resistant germs.

How to use:

The gray sock is used during the day and night for continuous compression. When one of the socks is washed, the other is used so as not to interrupt the treatment. The beige sock is only worn during the day, over the gray sock.

Characteristics:

The mediven ulcer kit consists of two compression components.

• 2 units of mediven ulcer (gray), with ankle pressure of 20mmHg is designed for constant lasting compression. Contains 1% silver. This moderate resting pressure is well tolerated by patients and allows compression treatment to continue. When washing a sock – if possible at 95ºC – another mediven ulcer is always available for continuous compression.
• 1 unit of mediven ulcer plus (beige), with pressure on the ankle also of 20mmHg, supports and reinforces compression during the day or during movement phases. These 2 components ensure the required compression of 40mmHg and provide the high working pressure necessary during the acute phase of ulcer treatment.
