Hyperextension Orthosis - medi 4C

Characteristics:

• Hyperextension of the spine provides stabilization in the sagittal plane
• Rotational stability restricted by subclavicular extension discs
• Stable frame construction restricts lateral bending

Indications:

• Compression fractures of vertebrae bodies in the dorsal and lumbar spine area
• Temporary postoperative immobilization
• Postoperative conservative treatment of tumors or metastases in the spine or in case of inoperability
• Axial stabilization in the case of osteoporotic sintering of the dorsal and lumbar spine

Contraindications:

• Unstable fractures of the dorsal/lumbar spine with or without neurological deficit
• In case of additional injuries to the chest (e.g. sternum) or pelvic ring (e.g. symphysis)
